ADVICE FROM JOINT COMMITTEE ON VACCINATION AND IMMUNISATION

COVID VACCINATION FOR THOSE AGED UNDER 30 YEARS

- ASTRA ZENECA VACCINE

Based on the different risk-benefit balance for people in different age groups, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is now recommending that people aged under 30 with no other health conditions that put them at increased risk from COVID-19 are offered alternatives to the AstraZeneca vaccine.

COVID VACCINATION - PRIORITY GROUPS

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has ruled that COVID19 vaccination MUST take place in priority order - this is outside of our control.

WE ARE WORKING HARD TO DELIVER THE COVID VACCINATION PROGRAMME TO OUR PATIENTS WITHIN CONSTRAINTS WHICH ARE OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.

WE ARE RECEIVING SPORADIC AND LIMITED SUPPLY OF THE VACCINE AND ARE ORGANISING CLINICS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE THEREAFTER.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THESE CONSTRAINTS ARE NOT OF OUR MAKING - WE ARE WORKING WITHIN THE JCVI'S INSTRUCTION TO US AND WE CAN ONLY PROVIDE THE VACCINE TO OUR PATIENTS WHEN WE HAVE RECEIVED A SUPPLY.  THE ORDERING AND DELIVERY PROCESS IS AGAIN, OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.

WE WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH OUR PATIENTS WHEN WE HAVE SUPPLY - PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US AS WE ARE WORKING THROUGH OUR LISTS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE  AND YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN WE ARE IN A POSITION TO OFFER YOU A VACCINE BASED ON THE PRIORITY GROUPINGS SET BY JCVI - AND UPON THE SUPPLYING COMPANY, PROVIDING US WITH A DELIVERY.
